When do biometrics need to be submitted?

Hi,

My wife and I applied for her spouse visa on March 15 2020. USCIS centres are closed until June 4 so it's not possible to get her biometrics done for the next two months. How long after applying do they need to be submitted?

Also, any ideas on if leniency will be granted by Home Office to those unable to submit biometrics within the necessary period due to the ongoing situation?
