Covid-19: There are currently no restrictions on entering the UK

Post by Zerubbabel » Fri Apr 24, 2020 3:44 pm

Hello

I contacted the Home Office yesterday asking about any restrictions in place to enter the UK. I asked because a few members of the forum were wondering what happens if they leave the UK and want to come back with their valid visa. So here is the answer:

Thank you for contacting the Home Office Coronavirus Immigration Team.

There are currently no restrictions on entering the UK other than travel limitations caused by airline cancellations or exit restrictions imposed by other countries.

Please check the GOV.UK website, where up to date advice is published. The latest information and advice can be found here:

The latest travel advice can be found here:

Additionally, the latest Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice is available here:

Although it hasn't yet been implemented but under govt new proposals the travellers entering the UK might be placed under quarantine for two weeks:

The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Please continue in your existing topic you already asked questions in this morning. You have been asked why your parents 'have to' travel to the UK.
