Ask your sponsor if you can apply for tier 2 general if they are a tier 2 general sponsor licenced sponsor. Is there any other way I can directly join with Tier 2 general visa ?
Do you mean if you come to the UK as a tier 2 ICT and try change to tier 2 general using this option??Can I resign from my Company (USA) and can they re-hire me as a new employee in UK ? Can this option be used to get hired on Tier 2 General visa ?
I would highly, HIGHLY recommend pushing your company to do a Tier 2 General if possible. I myself was sponsored on a Tier 2 General (from the US, work /live in the UK). 5 years later I got ILR last October. My friend and colleague though from Brazil, who came to the UK about 6 months after me came here on an ICT visa. 5 years later, he's finding out the hard way now that there's no path to citizenship, and because he makes less than the high income threshold he has to leave for 12 months to do a cooling off period. When he comes back, the 5-year ticker for ILR starts at 0.
No, ICT is not mandatory but has less mandatory requirements than tier 2 general, ie rlmt etcDoes anyone know if a current employee HAS to go with the ICT, or if the company can apply for an Tier 2 General for them?
