CoS Confusion

Post by SLUK » Thu May 07, 2020 5:37 pm

Hi,

I am leaving my current job (Tier 2) at the end of May and handed in my notice in March to satisfy the 3 month notice requirement. This is because a new employer issued a CoS in early March and my new Tier 2 visa came through in Early April. BRP arrived and I have signed the contract with my new employer.

I received an email from my current employer saying they have issued a new CoS to extend my visa (I was sponsored for 3 years). Surely they have not updated their records as I handed in my notice over 2 months ago and also had emails from HR asking for employer property to be returned.

Does the issuance of this unnecessary CoS in error have any negative implications for my new visa and my new employment?

Thank you,

M
