New Immigration Process - 2021

Post by Suresh1212 » Wed May 13, 2020 6:11 am

Hello,

Is it still going to be Tier 2 General, Tier 2 ICT, ect, But one should need a total of 70 points for the successful visa application after the implementation of new points based immigration system from Jan 2021? or the VISA types might change?

Thanks in Advance

I think as of now that has been shelved. No one knows if it's going to be back and how it would look at the moment

Hello,

Now the government published more details on the new immigration process. 3 Question.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ssible.pdf

1. As per the new guideline can the ICT visa holders can switch to other route?

2. What's the new cooling off rules, I cant understand fully?

3. All this rules applicable only for the VISA issued after Jan 2021? which means If anyone currently in the UK with the ICT visa issues before JAN 2021 will have to follow old rules ( switching & cooling off)

Thanks in Advance

Until the official Immigration rules and guidance are published for the new routes, no one can answer your questions on the specifics.

Thanks, But I think its already published and the link is

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ssible.pdf

The points I am talking is

107.The route will not provide an avenue to settlement. Those admitted on the route will,
however, be permitted to switch into the Skilled Worker route whilst still in the UK if
they meet the qualifying requirements for that route.

108. We will also adjust the existing “cooling off” rules as they apply to intra-company
transfers to ensure the future system makes more flexible provision for shorter-term
assignments. We plan to replace the existing rules with a rule that more simply
requires that an overseas intra-company transfer must not hold entry clearance or
leave to enter or remain as an intra-company transferee for more than five years in
any six-year period, except where they qualify to be granted up to nine years on the
basis of their salary

The link is only the proposed plans for the various new routes. It is not the immigration rules.

Tier 2 (ICT) migrants will be able to switch into Tier 2 (General) from within the UK subject to meeting the requirements.
