Spouse visa extension - children section

Post by Wendi72 » Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:23 pm

Hi, we are currently filling out the visa extension form for my husband, and some sections are giving me a headache :/
We have no children together, but i have 2 from a previous relationship... One is an adult and does not live with us, the other is 18 this year. My husband has no responsibility, financial or otherwise for either of my kids, and neither does my ex partner (he gives the younger child pocket money directly) and yet there seems to be a whole section in the form asking about the youngests' holidays abroad, who his other parent is, their address and they want proof of this (ie a bill) all of which seems irrelevant plus I have no access to the latter. They also ask for my eldests passport details... Have I missed something here? Why are they asking for all of this stuff if they are not his children or responsibility, and one of them isnt even a child and doesn't live with us? Arghhhhh

Spouse visa extension form

Post by Wendi72 » Sat May 16, 2020 4:20 pm

Hi, we are currently filling out the forms to extend my husbands visa.. We are stuck on the non-dependant children section... I have 2 children, eldest is 23, financially independant and lives elsewhere, do I need to include her at all in this form? If we do there are SO many more things we have to include as 'evidence' some of which aren't very realistic :/ Also does anybody know anything about the checklist at the end of the form - does everything need to be ticked off and included? Some of tge things they ask for are completely irrelevant to our circumstances... Helppp :(
