Fiance Visa Sponsor

Post by StephWilde » Wed May 20, 2020 2:06 pm

Hi Im reposting this because I think a mod moved my post without explaining why

After doing extensive research into the K1 fiance visa to immigrate to USA, I know you can use a sponsor that isn't your partner if you do not earn the required amount to prove you can support your spouse. Is there a similar exception to the fiance visa for UK immigration? I couldn't find anything that said you could use another sponsor for the application, only savings or your own wage slips. I want to bring my fiance here to UK but have not been earning the required amount for 6 months and have someone willing to sponsor in the mean time. Is that a possible route?

Any clarification on this matter would be very appreciated. Thanks!

(Please dont move this to US immigration again, it's not relevant to my question)

It was unclear from your post as to whether you are looking at information about a UK citizen sponsoring their US fiance to the UK OR a US citizen sponsoring their UK fiance to the US. That is why it was moved to the US Immigration forum.

Assuming that you are looking to sponsor a US fiance to the UK, in the UK, the sponsor needs to meet the financial requirements themselves. There is no option of an alternate sponsor. If you don't meet the requirements, you have to wait until you do.

You can meet the financial requirements if you had savings of £62,500 in a easily accessible account for a minimum of six months.

Your post was moved to the US Immigration sub forum, as that it was you appear to be asking about.
