Hello Everyone stay safe and healthy and kindly stay at home
I was waiting to get my Visa and then share the timeline but it seems like a never ending wait so my timeline so far is :

5 years limited leave expiry: 22/11/2019
Applied online for SET(P) ILR: 29/10/2019
Documents submit online uploads: 29/10/2019
Bio metric done: 5/11/2019
Acknowledgement email: Only received Application submission email.
Status progress emails: - None ( As they stopped it after June 2019 i guess )
Approval letter: - Waiting
BRP received: - Waiting

It is quite frustrating as most of us has got it under or just over in three months but its been 6months and 10 days since i applied
My mp email them and my Solicter write them litter but still no Any update Very sad

Hi,

My wife’s 5 years of leave to remain will end in three weeks time. She applied for the ILR few days ago and uploaded the supporting documents to UKVCAS website. But as with everyone else, biometric appointments are currently on hold. My questions are:

1- In case that the biometrics appointments are not back before the expiry date of her current visa, should we consider applying for extension?

2- In case we need to apply for extension, how can this be done.

One more separate enquiry. Back in 2018 I applied for the ILR and I included my wife as dependent. We both done our biometrics in the post office at that time as part of the application. Few weeks after this my wife got a letter to advise her to apply separately when her leave to remain come to an end. Would anyone know if the HO can consider the biometrics done in 2018 for my wife’s current application?

Thanks

1. No. An application submitted in time is covered by section 3c if the immigration rules if the visa expires while an application is pending. The date of application is the date of online submission and not the biometric appointment.

2. No, she needs to enroll biometrics with each application she makes.

No problem. I submitted my online application on 21/01/2020 and my biometric was due to expire on 26th of February. I managed to find an appointment slot for fingerprint on 22/01/2020 around 6am and I booked it for 29th of January.

Fingers crossed you’ll hear the good news after bank holiday. I know how difficult it is this situation. My sister is still waiting for hers and she applied in mid February.

Hi All, just a quick question on applying with a NEW NAME.

I changed my name using a Deed Poll on 08-May-2020.

My current BRP expires in 15-June-2020 which has my OLD name.

I applied for an ILR on 16-May-2020.

In the application I've used the OLD name (the one on my BRP) as the Applicant's Name, and I've put my NEW name under the "Any Other Names" section.

Is this correct? Or should it be the other way around?

I did it this way because under the Applicant's Name, the application form says: "this is the name on your current BRP or the name the Home Office knows you by".

But would appreciate any further confirmation that I did the right thing, thanks.

Hi guys,
I had applied for my ILR - SET (P) in beginning of May 2019 and I'm still waiting for ILR.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(P)
Date application sent : 02-05-2019
Document received by HO : Online
Ack letter received (if applicable) : Email received on 03-05-2019
Biometric Letter received : Email received on 05-05-2019
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 23-05-2019
Payment Debited : NA
Approval/Refusal Received : Still waiting
BRP Card Received : Still waiting
Today 6 months have been completed, no update received yet. I've contacted HO over the phone, the person at call centre said there is no service standard for SET (P) applications however I should have received within SIX months. They've asked me to write a letter to UKVI asking for update. So.......... I'm going to write a letter now.
Update:
I was just about to write a letter today but received letter from HO, saying they aim to process all applications within 6 months but my application has caused some complexity and that they'll process it within 3 more months. (new date given 01 Feb 2020)
So... God willing I shall now wait another 3 months.

So, nothing received at all. No correspondence. The revised date of 1 Feb2020 had been long past. It's very frustrating to be honest.
any updates with your application? hope you have heard something by now?

Did the HO explain what the complexity is in your application?

Sorry to hear your experience and I understand your frustration. I don't even know why they are taking so long to process an application. Are there really factors which can add complications to the ILR application Set (P)? I got my ILR in person two years ago through a different route (work permit Tier 2) and it costed me fortune but they made a decision in less than two hours. we are now waiting for my partner's ILR SET (P). She travelled couple of time over the duration of 5 years and each trip was less than a week. having said that, her initial asylum application was refused but got an approval later after the court hearing. I hope these are not considered as complications in an ILR application.

The best thing to do is to look for you local MP and raise the matter with them. they can get a response from Home Office quickly. calling home office may never solve your problem as they usually don't provide you with application status.
