Following government guidelines and Public Health England advice on COVID-19, UKVCAS, in conjunction with UKVI, will begin a controlled, phased re-opening of Service Points from 1 June 2020.
The government’s response to COVID-19 has meant that many customers who had an existing appointment, prior to the suspension of the service, have had their appointments postponed. With the agreement of UKVI, we will be sending all those customers an email explaining the next steps they need to take to rebook their appointment. If you are in this group and have not already received an email, you may receive one soon. We ask that you continue to check this registered email address for updates.
Unfortunately, if you did not have an existing appointment, prior to the suspension of the service, you will not be able to book an appointment at this time. Please be assured that every customer is important to UKVCAS and we will be reviewing the new approach regularly to assess when we are able to open bookings for all customers. For the latest information on implications for your Visa application, please check UKVI’s Immigration Guidance at GOV.UK

It does clearly state that it is an automated message and many receive it. Nothing has changed in the process and you will still need to do biometrics.Sirjameso wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 12:26 pmHi All,
I received the standard HO email (below) on 10th June.
Dear MR XX,

I assumed you only get this after completing your Biometrics at UKVCAS. Considering I submitted my application on the 5th June and got this email on Monday evening and not able to yet do the biometrics, has the HO changed their process due to Corona Virus issues?
I must stress I have uploaded all the relevant docs on the UKVCAS website.
Thanks
You can apply online and wait until UKVCAS opens the slots in their next phase.alisattar09 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 1:02 amI am looking to make an online application to apply for naturalisation. Should I still wait since due to COVID19 UKVCAS isn't giving any biometric appointments to the new applicants OR that situation has changed now and they are giving appointments to new applicants?
Now it got even weirder: I can log in and select the UKVCAS centres. For some centres I can't see any appointment and I only get the "Unauthorised - Please login and try again" message. For other centres I can see the dates (no appointment available anyway) but as I scroll across to the latest dates I still get the error message. Is anyone else experiencing the same?Pazol Azel wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 9:20 amHello,
I have (like every morning) just tried to log in to the UKVCAS website to check if new biometrics appointments can be booked. I think I can manage to log in, however I'm getting an error message saying "Unauthorised - Please login and try again".
I submitted my online application for naturalisation on 15th April and I was advised to attend the biometrics appointment by 17th June, after which they would send me a reminder (which I have not received yet).... Of course I could not even book the appointment due to the covid situation, but I am wondering if the error message is related to my deadline of the 17th June?...or is it just a temporary glitch in the system ?
Could anyone please advise?
Thank you
I dont have an appointment but I have upload like half of my documents. You can upload everything and just wait for the appointment system to open for you.adatitan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 9:22 pm
Do you have an appointment?
I submitted my application but I can not upload any documents. I think after submission we need to book appointment first and then upload documents. Is that right?
That is not good news for me since I applied a few days ago. Do you know if this process applies only to free appointments? What about the premium service in London that you can book on the weekends and out of hours for £275? I am sure there wont be the same demand as for the free ones so they should release these slots for everyone.rozearo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 8:44 pmUpdated: 19 June 2020 from:

Making progress
We’re doing everything we can to offer as many appointments to as many people as possible. From Monday 22nd June 2020 onwards, we’ll be releasing more appointments, adding new service points and opening the booking system to more customers in phases based on registration dates.
Taking a phased and organised approach
In order to be fair to everyone, we are now opening up the booking system in date order starting with people who registered with UKVCAS before the 27th March but did not have an appointment. We are working from the earliest to the most recent registrations as we think this is the fairest and best approach to take. If you are one of these customers, you will have an email from us on the 21st or 22nd of June asking you to book an appointment. The email will have full instructions about next actions.
Yes there is. I applied two days ago and I have a deadline to attend the appointment by 19 of August.on_the_contrary wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 11:05 pmIs there a deadline for to the UKVCAS appointment? I'm thinking about applying now, but doing the appointment in two months or so.. would there be any issues with that?
