Switching from T2 ICT to T2 General | UK Point Based System |Jan 2021

Hi,
I am currently working in UK under Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer. On Jan 2021, UK Government will be introducing the Point Based System in the country.
As of now, We cannot switch from T2 ICT to T2 General, so if we do so, the cooling off period will be applied.

Question:
If we switch from T2 ICT to T2 General using Point Based System on Jan 2021, Is cooling off period will be removed?
Kindly clarify on my request.

Cooling off period for tier ict to tier 2 general is highly UNlikely to be changed.

No one knows about these details. We can speculate, my speculation is that it should be removed because tier2 ict category won't exist so doesn't make sense for existing visa holders to serve cooling off period while new staff is employed on different category visa by the firms. But I guess you have to wait for the details to be out
