All bona fide employers & legal migrants with right to work are fully aware & entitled to at least minimum wage rate which is £8.72 from 1st April. However, there is trust called London wage foundation has been trying its best to persuade a lot of employers to become their members by start paying the London living rate which presently standing at £10.75 to Londoner.

Keep in mind that this argument against the Minimum Income Requirement (of Skype parents, typically fathers) was made to the UK Supreme Court and the government won the case.

From the viewpoint of the UK government, the family is free to reunite, outside the UK.

British citizens have an individual right to reside in the UK. The right of any non-EEA family member however is contingent on strict conditions being met.
