Hi guys,

My wife's (main applicant) employer agreed to provide her maintenance funds in her CoS but declined to include me (the dependent). My visa expires in July while she will start working in September. I deduced that i will have to apply separately outside the UK but I'm confused as to how much I need to put in the bank account as proof of maintenance.
Is 630 enough or do I need to add 945 for her even though her employer said they'll cover that?
Also, is it fine if it's in HER bank account and not mine even though I will be applying separately?

I am not sure how her sponsor can certify her sponsorship which has to be mentioned on the COS and also mention that they aren't certifying maintenance for her dependent. In case that is possible, you only need to show proof of your maintenance as she is already covered so £630 should be enough and I don't think it is going to be an issue even if funds are in her bank account.

My wife is applying for a Tier 2 visa starting in September 2020, and I am planning to join as her dependent. Her employer agreed to provide proof of maintenance for her but not me as her dependent. I have been reading the government guidance regarding the documents to provide but it got me confused.

Can you tell me what documents I need to provide for my application as her dependent?
Concerning my maintenance funds, can they be put in her bank account or only mine?
