ILR Salary requirement minimum duration

Post by ukworker9 » Thu Jun 18, 2020 8:28 pm

Dear experts,

I am currently on Tier 2 sponsorship visa and I am 3 years in. But my current salary doesn't meet the requirements to meet ILR application.

My question is, if I switch to a new sponsor with a higher salary that meets the requirement will I be able to appliy for ILR? Should I have maintained the ILR required salary for whole 5 years or is there a minimum duration I need to maintain the minimum required income to be able to apply for ILR?

Thanks.

You don't qualify for ilr yet, so really a very premature question.

You need to meet the ilr salary requirement at the time of ilr application. There is no rule that you must meet the ilr salary for the whole 5 years. During the 5 years, as has been explained to previously, you are required to meet the experienced salary stated in your soc.
