Since you are in UK on an HSMP for the past 3 years, you and your dependents *are not* required to fulfil the maintenance funds conditions as prescribed inder Tier 1 for either EC or LTR.

You'll probably need the following documents to support your child's EC application:
1. Original birth certificate
2. Copy of passport of main HSMP applicant
3. Copy of passport of mother
4. 4-6 months of payslips of main HSMP applicant
5. 4-6 months bank statements / savings accounts etc.
6. Utility bills for 4-6 months.
7. Copy of mortgage deed / rental agreement.

Do check with local BHC if you need to provide any other documentary evidence from your end. Local VAC will be able to advise you regarding the form to use (VAF2 I think) and the fees.

Thanks Sushdmehta for your reply. VAC stands for VFS isnt it?
Thanks again.
Take care.

Attached marriage certificate too

Post by mlk007 » Sat Aug 23, 2008 10:37 am

I too had the baby in India and when we applied for my daughters visa, they never told me that I need to attach our marriage certificate.
They rejected the first application with the reason as "You avent given enough proof that the parents were married at the time of the birth of the daughter". It didnt make any sense but there was no way we could appeal. I had to pay another 18000 and apply again this time with marriage certificate. I got it that time. Better safe than sorry.
