Exactly the same boat come 2004 was asylum failed jan 2012 was granted DLR 3 years and 2015 ext another 3 years got ILR 2018
Even though i overstayed and was meant to apply in 2022 for the 10 years i applied for BC dec 2019 in may got Questionnaire from Caseworker asking me how i supported myself and if i worked claimed benefits etc sent it and bow patiently waiting.

If they refuse, you do lose the entire naturalisation fee, except £80 (the citizenship ceremony fee). That is almost £1250 lost.
