I wanted to clarify my visa issue: I arrived alone in the UK in March 2017 on tier 2 visa. I applied for family visa (four kids and husband) and got the visa in August 2018. That, of course, delayed things and the visa gap between me and my kids is 1 year and 5 months. My husband visits us every 6 months for 2-3 weeks as he is doing a job in Pakistan and can’t stay here due to official commitments. My kids are in the age range of 9-17 years. My eldest daughter will suffer the brunt of this refusal as she can’t apply as a local student for university next year nor can she apply for student finance. Her time in the UK by next year’s September will be 3 years. I will be able to apply for my ILR in March 2022. I only just came to know that my kids will not get ILR if my husband doesn’t apply with them, which he obviously can’t since he only visits us once or twice a year. He can take retirement next year and can stay with us if his stay is must to get ILR for my kids . ILR for kids will be due in August 2023. But will that mean the last 2 years my kids have been living in the UK won’t count? I need your guidance as to what I should do as my kids’ future is at stake.
