Tier2 ICT Dependent to Tier 4 General within the UK

Post by DMD05 » Mon Jul 13, 2020 3:28 pm

Hi,

I'm currently in the UK with a Tier2 ICT Dependent visa which is due to expire on 01st Oct 2020.
I have got an offer in one of the UK universities to do masters which starts on 21st Sept 2020.

I know in normal situations, I would need to travel to my home country (India) to apply for a Tier 4 visa. But due to COVID-19 I'm unable to travel to my home country to apply for Tier 4 due to flight unavailability and VFS centers are not accepting any new application and it is difficult to find an available appointment for biometrics.

Are there any possibilities that I can apply for my Tier 4 visa within the UK? without traveling to my home country?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Tier 4 maintenance fund in husband savings account

Post by DMD05 » Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:54 pm

Hi There,

I’m currently applying for tier 4 visa along with my dependents (husband and kid). All our maintenance funds are in my husband bank account where only his name will be in the bank statement.

Can we all use my husband bank statement to show the 28 days maintenance funds? My husband will be providing consent letter as well and mention that he is ready to sponsor my studies. Any other document proof we need to show?

Please can you help me by answering this? Many thanks.

Yes, if you apply by Friday and if you can show that it is urgent that you apply now. See UKCISA's guide to "Applying in the UK when this is not usually possible":

No. Your husband and child can use evidence of money in his name, but you can only use evidence held in your own name or in a parent's name.

For your application, see page 30 of the Tier 4 policy guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -4-student

For your dependants' applications, see paragraph 112 of the PBS Dependants policy guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... rs-1-2-4-5

Thanks sah10406

Based on the latest updates, can I still apply tier4 within the UK? My current visa expires on 01st Oct 2020.

Please could you confirm? Thanks a lot.

No. The "urgent" provision I mentioned in my previous reply has been removed.

Hi,

The tier 4 concession document has been updates yesterday.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 200805.pdf

Does this mean that we will be able to switch to tier 4 within the UK? Please confirm. thanks.

Sorry, but I don't think you are reading it properly. The guidance is clear that new concessions are only for people with leave expiring on or before 31 August 2020.
