Proof of visa extension - for work

Small introduction about myself. I came to UK in Nov 2010 (Tier 2 Established Staff) and eligible to apply for ILR in few months time. My current visa expires on Aug 2020 (Tier 2 ICT) and visa extension application for myself and dependent is in progress but facing delay due to Covid. My wife is on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa.

Question: Few days back my wife was offered a job and she is expected to join the new office(IT related work) on September 2020. As part of the joining formality she may be asked to show BRP card to prove the legal stay. In this scenario, what documents can be provided to prove the legal stay and eligibility to work in UK please.

When did you apply for the extension, exact date of application and biomterics?

Thanks for replying. I have applied for extension on 6th July 20 and there is no update from HO about biometrics.

Without a BRP, which she might not have, it will be difficult to prove her right to work. The new employer can use the online tool to check, but many choose not to do this and what to see the physical BRP card.
