Evidence for english

Post by miria » Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:22 pm

Dear all, someone I'm a student who applied for the Tier 1. I sent original documents for all other requirements but my worry is with the englisdh requirement. I misplaced /lost my bachelor degree certificate and remained with only certified copies. So for the english language I gave in my original academic transcript, a certified copy of the degree certificate and a letter from Naric. For the masters degree in Uk I gave in the original certificate
Has anyone used these as evidence. If so what could be the outcome? Please help. Anxious

As per the policy guidance, only original degree certificates are accepted unless the applicant is awaiting graduation and cannot provide original degree certificates (in this case, academic transcripts are acceptable - and only in prescribed format).
1. If your masters qualification is in the self-assessment tool under the english language requirements section, then the original degree certificate that you have submitted will be sufficient.
2. NARIC letter is of no use as evidence of english language requirements.

Read para 190-194 of the Tier 1 policy guidance.
