Can someone give me advice on IRL regarding finances.
I have an appointment next week to apply for IRL and am concerned about my set-m form and getting the interview with the IO right.
Here is my information:
My spousal visa is up in mid-September and I'm applying for ILR. My husband is British and I've just passed the life in the uk test.
I've work full time for a respectable company since arriving in the country almost two years ago.
*However my husband has not been employed for the past two years. He has some savings that he used to fund himself as he has been working on a respectable personal project. He didn't get a salary for the project.
We live together in rented accomidation and while we are not rich, we are also not struggling.
We have never sought access to any public funds or benefits.
My concern is that on the Set(M) form there is a section that asks about our finances.
Are we likely to have an problems at the immigration hearing because my husband doesn't work?
-I have one more question regarding the Set-M.
My husband and I have been married for 3.5 years but together as a couple for 9 years.
As I mentioned we rent a flat in the UK and I work here full time. This location is our only residency.
*However last year my husband traveled extensively for his project. I'm not sure exactly how long he was outside the UK in total time but it was several months at least.
Might this have any impact on my IRL application?
There is nothing in his passport visually (stamps) that prove how long he was away from the UK.
Also is their any advice you can give me as to what to say or what not to say when meeting with the IO?
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks
