Hi welljohn,

You should be waiting for over 12months for your asylum decision to apply for permission to work.

Hi Senu,

Just a quick question.... its possible to apply for permission to work after 9 months of submitting Further submission application...done mine since November never hear from HO....

Hi senu,

Thanks for the update. That’s great news. Fingers crossed you’ll get one in Cambridge. I should get an update as well this month coz my eviction date is 30th of July. Hopefully I get somewhere here as well. We are not very far. It’s quite a relief getting permission to work plus the university. What did the MP say? My solicitor sent that chase letter together with my permission to work letter but HO didn’t say anything about the decision. I will update you with my case. I was surprise they sent the new card with permission to work remark without me sending the old one. It’s tough times for us every single day, but don’t worry we will get there one day!

Best of luck

Hi senu,

That’s very good news! Please keep me posted. Today I received my new arc with permission to work SOL. I was surprised that they sent it to me without returning my old arc. I received the decision of permission to work Monday.

Best of luck

Hi Violet,

Did you manage to get your brp done or still waiting for it. from your experience could your tell me how long will it take to get accommodation after been success of accommodation request. yesterday i rang migrant help to get an update regards my accommodation request then they said application success and waiting for home office arrangements .
Hi Jay,
I did ring Nass last Wednesday and got to hear that accommodation request been success but still didnt received a letter yet. solicitor didnt reply at all from May since she agreed to write a letter regarding delay of decision. I thought to change my solicitor as i'm so disappointed with current solicitor. anyway congratulation ,now you can work. it will reduce your stress of waiting. keep you update once i receive a letter.

Hi senu,

Thanks for the update. Fingers crossed they will give an update to your case. Did your solicitor respond? No update for my case, however I called migrant help today they said that there’s no update whatsoever. They said they will call me or send a message. They only said that they received my supporting documents 2nd of July. Did you call them again?

Hi senu,

I think there’s something wrong on this board. I am encountering problems.

Thanks for the updates. Have you tried asking for a legal aid? They will address whatever concerns you have on your case. It’s practical thing to do (in my opinion). Rather than paying for rubbish solicitor who are like vultures. Based on personal experience. That’s a bit of a relief that you won’t pay anything yet. Looking at your circumstance your case has merit, you should be entitled for a legal aid. Keep me posted.

Hi Jay,

Thank you for giving me advice and i will find out about legal aid. of course i will post you if any there any news. let me know what will happen to your accommodation issue .

Hi Jay,
yesterday my MP has sent off chasing letter to FSU behalf of me asking make a decision on my case before my eviction date. i dont know will it work or not at least hope i could hear something as HO reply to MP faster than us. did you hear anything for accommodation ?
Hi Jay,

I have changed my solicitor last Monday and hope new solicitor will sent off his letter within this week. yes i did called nass as well but they said still waiting to hear from HO. It is confusing me now but will wait as i have more time. but so awful to hear that you did not hear anything yet as you are only a week away from eviction date. we will pray for you to get everything as you wish.

Thank you for the kind words. Praying for you and everyone who’s living in agony and misery. One day we will get our liberty back. Things are very slow because of this pandemic even my civil against my husband is moving very slow.

Hi,
That email for further submission unit which you can ask for progress of your application but for me each time they sent same email that saying it is still processing. but it is worth to try as some people got timeframe after email them.

Hello Guys, i have be reading this topic and realised its really stressful for the asylum fresh claimants especially the waiting time. i have been depressed all this years since our visa ran out and having 3 kids with me and my mrs,i dont think waiting for over 2 years in fresh submission decision as in the case of most claimants here worth it for me. please i really need advise if i am wrong cuz i cant wait again after my child turns 7 years. is there anything i can do to get my documents on time?
if i decides to apply for premium service for the whole family which i know will cost about 15k,do you think we all must submit our passport for the premium or its only me and my mrs bcus the kids were born here?
pls if there are easy, cheap method with less waiting as in the case of fresh submission kindly help me .thanks

Not all fresh claims take as long. My partner's fresh claim last year was refused by the HO within a few months of submission, but he subsequently appealed at the first tier tribunal, and won. 9 months from submission to receiving the tribunal's decision. (Unfortunately he's still waiting for his biometric card - probably delayed due to Covid-19, but at least we know it's coming).

Hi,
I was in same situation and aim last year as we were counting till my elder daughter turn 7 years. October 2019 she has turned 7 years and we applied for her 7 years since then no reply at all. January 2020 my second daughter registered as British citizenship. Sent evidence of her citizenship but nothing to hear yet. if you go for premium service it will be cost lots and loose to have benefit rights but could be early. but first worth try in FSU as i know one of my friend who applied her child 7 years been succeed within 12 weeks. so its all depends.

I have emailed them and as you said they replied after 2 days with a standardised email saying they are unable to give a time scale, and that the case is outstanding.

Hi Joe15,

That is mean they send everyone same kind of response email. How long are you waiting ? to be honest I'm fed up with this waiting now . Last week MP sent out chasing letter behalf of me so I'm waiting with big hope at least i could hear something better than that this time.

Hello everyone
has anyone else’s home office provided a time frame pointing we will aim make a decision on a certain date ,?if you see this email I’ve received response to my complaint they write we will aim to make a decision by the end of July 2020. But still didn’t heard anything from home office.
Thanks

Thank you for your email correspondence of 14 June 2020 where you have raised a complaint about your further submissions.

You have expressed dissatisfaction at the length of time taken to make a decision on your submissions.

I am unable to uphold your application.

Our records show that you claimed asylum on 25 April 2014, which was refused on 30 May 2014. On 19 November 2018, we received your further submissions. You have already had a decision made in relation to your asylum claim. We will consider your further submissions as soon as possible to see whether there has been any change in your circumstances to justify a different decision. I am unable to provide a definitive timescale for when a decision will be made on your submissions. However, barring any special or unforeseen circumstances we will aim to make a decision by the end of July 2020.

Whilst I understand this might not be the outcome you expected, I hope my response clarifies the position.

I believe I have addressed all the points you have raised. However, if you feel that there are specific aspects that have not been addressed you can request a review of our response within one month of the date on this correspondence by emailing us at:

Please ensure that you provide us with specific details setting out why you believe a review is required. This will enable us to provide you with a full response. I am member of another UKBA group on FB on that page i seen these days many many people getting their decisions but unfortunately only for us further submission have killing waiting .

I am member of another UKBA group on FB on that page i seen these days many many people getting their decisions but unfortunately only for us further submission have killing waiting .

Hi,

Hi Senu,
I applied online and included his dad passport number as he was British, I then sent my sons birth certificate in the post office. I didn’t sent any of my ID.
You should apply online as it’s cheaper than paper application.
If you prefer by post;

‘What documents to send if you apply by post
If you apply by post, you must send:

2 new photos of your child
the child’s full birth or adoption certificate (the one with parent’s details on it)
proof that your child has British nationality (for example a British registration certificate, parent’s passport details or parent’s birth certificates)
any valid passports from a different country belonging to the child
any court orders (for example, that describe parental responsibility or residency’

I copied that from gov.uk website and it doesn’t say that your passport is needed if your child has British Registration Certificate.

One more thing I had to find was people to countersign/verify myself and child’s identity. The were contacted by the passport office.
Hi Violet,
hope you are doing well. did you manage to do your brp yet. I have received my daughter's British passport today. it was super quick only took two weeks. just wanted to tell you thank you for your advice regarding it.

Yay🎉🎉 congrats on obtaining it. Remember to send a copy to the Home Office and also file a complaint with it. I can’t wait for you to hear some more good news, it’s all waiting game now.

Unfortunately I haven’t done my brp yet as the appointment line are still closed and I’m unable to book an appointment. Apparently the brp Company are taking ‘phased approach’. I’m probably going to start a new topic asking for help as I’m always posting in the wrong forum topic.

Also I haven’t received anything from the appeal that was sent. It’s been more three week’s already, do you know about the process?

Hi Violet,

Thank you so much. I have already sent her naturalised certificate last Feb 2020 so do you think still i should send passport copy ? will it give more boost
if you think so please kindly let me know where i should exactly make complaint bcoz I'm fed up with sending complaints now. I authorised new solicitor to handle my case but he is still waiting for my file from previous one.
I have gone through appeal process when initial asylum refused and they took around 6 weeks to response in 2018. but because of covid situation it will depend so dont get stress now I.everything will be in your favour sooner.

Hi Senu,
Yes! Send a copy of you child’s passport too. My legal aid lawyer sent mine on my behalf as further evidence and also complained about waiting time. Instruct you lawyer to do the same. It gets your files looked at at least.

Ok, so, after waiting of -- 2 years -- 4 months -- 6 days -- , i have received letter thats says " ... you do not qualify for leave on any basis. ..." its declined anyway for in short.

I'm trying to contatct with my lawyer but she is just doenst answering how much i tried. I think she just left me by my self and they are "xxxxxxxxx" so if any of you with this company or what so ever you call them just be-caraful. And i have paid for the services by the way, for nothing im sure now.

i dont know what else i can do after receiving this letter. I mean do i have even any options or is it just done, i mean nothing else i can do? i know i can do another 'Fresh Claim' with new evidences but i have provided any paperwork that i have got so NO new evidence.
