They can apply anytime before their visas expire. It will be a 3 year extension.

You need 90 days maintenance funds of £630 for each dependent.

PBS Dependent Leave to Remain

Post by KarthikSomu » Tue Jul 28, 2020 10:59 am

Hi Team,

I'm ILR applicant and I'm extending for my spouse and child for PBS Dependent Leave to Remain.
as per your suggestion last year, i have filled the online application form in below link and there the below 2 questions is not clear to me, could you please help me what should i answer?

https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members

Q1. Which visa or permission to stay has Mr xxxxxxx applied for or been granted?

as per my current BRP, I have settlement , Indefinite Leave to remain, but i dont see this option in online form, I have selected now Tier 2 (General) leave to remain, please correct me whether this answer is correct?

Q2. Do you have one of these Home Office reference numbers for Mr xxxxx?

Do i need to give my current ILR BRP number? or I have to say as "No, I do not have a Home Office reference number for them" because, my current visa is ILR

Q3. What is the length of Mrxxxxxx Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)?

I have my ILR now but what should i answer here? it has only the below 2 options

more than 3 years and less than 3 years

Kindly advise
Karthik

You put your last Tier 2 visa details correct.
Q2. Do you have one of these Home Office reference numbers for Mr xxxxx?

Do i need to give my current ILR BRP number? or I have to say as "No, I do not have a Home Office reference number for them" because, my current visa is ILR
ILR BRP number is fine.
Q3. What is the length of Mrxxxxxx Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)?

I have my ILR now but what should i answer here? it has only the below 2 options

more than 3 years and less than 3 years
Depends what your last CoS was. Regardless of what you answer (although the fees will differ), the dependents will only get a 3 year extension. For IHS you need to put your ILR expiry date as Mondy/Day/2023 to get the 3 year IHS fee.

Note also, please do NOT post your full name on the forum. It is public for everyone to see and we have many scammers and spammers. Also please do not post Tier 2 dependent visa queries in the ILR sub forum. I merged your topics in the tier 2 sub forum.

Yes you can apply now. The extension will be for 3 years regardless if when you apply before visa expiry.
