Missing Family name in passport and what to fill in Visa application

Hello experts,
I have a problem with my names as given in passport and what to fill in application form.

My situation is as below:
I am on Tier 2 General Leave to Remain (employer Sponsored) visa and my visa is valid till 2023. My spouse's and children's visa type is PBS Dependent and is expiring this November , 2020. They are currently in the UK and staying with me. So I would like to extend them till 2023. I have started preparing the applications for my spouse and children. I have to give the information of mine as I am the main applicant.

The name information column has 2 fields in application:
1. Given name - I have filled in here as xyz as per passport(Indian passport) Given field
2. Family Name - My passport has no names here and is bank. I have filled "N/A" as it is not allowing to proceed without filling something

In the previous application, which I filled as same above, I got a letter from Home Office saying that there are unforeseen delay in application since I have filled my name as "." . I am not sure it came since I entered Family name as "N/A". Can some body help me out what to legally fill correctly in this field , if Family name is missing in passport.

Hello

I am wondering why did you accept this passport from Indian authorities. It happens often that admin clerks make mistakes in processing applications and you get a passport with incorrect details.

I have already seen passports with incorrect names, incorrect date of birth, switched first names / surname...

The only viable option is to get that passport sorted. You need to engage with Indian authorities and get them to issue a correct passport for you.

I am also in the same position where my family name in my Passport is blank. Given name is xyz pqr as per passport(Indian passport) Given Field. I am in the process of submitting ILR SET (LR) and wondering how did you overcome this and what have you filled in under Family Name field in the online application?
