6 years on Tier 2 Visa

Post by Sinan87 » Fri Aug 14, 2020 11:59 pm

Hello

I am on Tier 2 general visa, my first visa was issued on 2/6/2015 and my last visa was expiring on 16/8/2020.
As I am working for NHS my visa was extended automatically for One year so my new visa is expiring on 16/8/2021 ( 6 year + 2 months after the issue of first Visa ).
I am waiting for CoS to apply for a new Job so may apply for new visa next week to start the new job in September.

I have two questions please?

1- is there a problem that I was issued a Tier 2 visa beyond the 6 years limit ? Do I need to do anything or just apply for new visa ?

2-My dependants Visas also expiring on 16/8/2021, so not sure whether to include them when applying next week ? I am aware in Normal situation I can apply on my own but given that the caseworker may bring the expiry date of my visa forward back to normal (June 2021 ) then my visa (main applicant) will be expiring before the dependants which is not possible.

Many Thanks
