General Tier 2 - changes in the application form

Post by alyeltrem » Mon Aug 17, 2020 11:34 am

Hello,

I applied for an extension to my sponsored General Tier 2 visa. I was supposed to pay ~£500 + the health surcharge but since I said "yes" to healcare worker question I only paid £196 and no health surcharge fees.

I called the UK Visa call center and they suggested that I should write a cover letter to my application and let them know. They also said that the UKV will contact me for extra charges.

I was not sure how to proceed - should I submit a new application or do as above?

Moreover no appointments are available at the moment so wondering if that should be something to stress about? I have right to stay until Octover 10th.

Kind regards,
MG

So are you not a healthcare worker as defined on the UKVI list or are you??

If you are not, why did you say yes to the question??

No, I am not a healthcare worker! I made a mistake! That is why I need to change or do something about it.

And also, in the payment confirmation email they say:

"Your application details cannot be changed. If you need to change any of your information, you must submit a new application.

UK Visas and Immigration"

Meaning if I need to change anything in the application I must submit a new application. But the customer service of UKVI said write a cover letter about the mistake and the Home Office will contact me. So I do not know which information should I follow.

Regards

Simply do what they have suggested and upload with your supporting documents before your biometric appointment.

UKVI will usually contact you to pay the IHS and extra fee.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea how they allocate the appointments to the people?

Being allocated in stages, currently dealing with July as far as I am aware, for those not eligible for biometric reuse. You will be notified by email so make sure you keep an eye on inbox and junk/spam folder.

We are continuing to open up the booking system in date order, we have currently released appointments to customers whose applications were received by UKVCAS up to 31 July 2020.

Just to add a note that I received a rejection and am told to submit a new application by UKVI. They told me that the fee I paid will be refunded and I need to do the application correctly.

So everything seems to be in order.
