Previous earning - bank statement query

Post by Mads_Mads » Fri Aug 29, 2008 11:34 am

I am an active reader of this forum, I am planning to apply for tier-1 general in the 1st week of september. I am facing an issue with my bank statement, i am applying for the period between aug-07 to July-08. My salary is credied each month to my Citibank UK account through cheque Deposit, but after cross checking the stataments, i came to know that the salary is not been credited for the month of May, thought the cheque has been deposited and the same jhas been debited from my corporate account, but this was never credited to my account and the same is ot reflecting in my may bank statement. As ai am applying for the period betwen Aug-07 to July 08, please let me know if a letter from citibank accepting this mistake is suffiecient to shoe this gap. Thanks in advance.

What happened the cheque which they (Citi bank) didn't honour? When the correction will take place? How that correction will show on new bank statement, because an transcation will alter the total bank balance.

Ask them to enter this particular txn with matching reason.

Do you still qualify if you do not account May's salary ?

Take a letter from bank confirming / rectification of this error,
Letter from your employer confirming salary of all 12 months OR salary slips for these 12 months (you can explain missing part separately).
Combination of rectification letter from bank and letter from your employer/salary slips will sail u thru.
If you reach this threshhold (75 points) even after omitting this salary then also you can proceed further without calculating this salary but explain reason for ommission of this salary.
