I have received the email below for my mother's 2 years visitor visa application yesterday.

"Dear Customer,

Your UK visa application has been issued.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE VISA APPLICATION CENTRE BEFORE THEY CONTACT YOU.

You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre when your documents are ready for collection, or have been dispatched via courier where this is relevant.

You are reminded that you should avoid making travel plans until you have collected your passport, as the outcome of your visa application is not final until you receive your passport.

What can be the outcomes for this? One of 2, however this cannot with certainty be answered as it did not say 'Visa Issued'. Also as it stands today how long VFS takes to return passports at Islamabad Office?

What can be the outcomes for this? Also as it stands today how long VFS takes to return passports at Islamabad Office?

If you read through others' posts, you will note that 'visa application issued' in most cases leads to visa being issued. Covid may impact return of passport timings but I am speculating.

Was this her first visit application? Or has she already been to the UK on a six months visa? Keen to understand if she got two years' visa from the outset or whether she had been to the UK a few times so now applying for two years.

You may have to keep checking with them till you get the ready to pick up mail/call.

VFS Pak is messed up internally during CoVID. Got an email to collect passport but upon reaching came to know that passport is not there yet. So I hope will get it in couple of days, fingers crossed

Also, bought a courier service to Lahore office. Gerrys have no idea about courier. Generic answers all the time. No tracking service available. Only thing anyone can do to email at PRS@gerrys.com.pk which they take few days to reply

Issued email received from Abu dhabi, 20th Aug

I confirm again, issued email = visa issued

We received the passport after 3 weeks, visa was issued on the date we received the email 20th August.

Any one who can give a suggestion regarding visit visa for UK now a days. I mean if this is a good time to apply for visit visa for UK from Pakistan or not? asking in context of pandemic etc. And whats the visa issuance probability now a days.

I think apart from essential travel to UK , u should wait till situation getting better in UK as here in UK Covid 19 cases rapidly increasing at the rate of more than 4000 cases per day. So, it is better to stay ur country till situation getting better. As for as visa issuance probability is concerned then if you are financially sound to sponsor ur visit and provide them requesting documents then probability is good. Mostly visas are getting refused on financial reasons.

Visa application Issued email received on 30/09/20.
Collected passport on 07/10/20, visitor visa granted! Visa start date is 30/09/20.

Due to personal reason we wont be able to travel immediately, will there be any issues if we travel at a later date?
The visit will only be a few months and will return before visa expires.

Hi there, please note once a decision is made by UK Visas and Immigration, it can take several days for your passport to be returned to the Visa Application Centre. Once passports are returned to VFS Global they will go through our safety and security processes, after which we will contact customers to let you know they are ready for collection, or they will be returned to you by courier if applicable. If you have paid for the SMS service, you will recieve a text as well as an email.
