What is the average time span between submitting face photo through IDV app and UKVI decision outcome email?
Has anyone heard from UKVI after completing the final IDV app submission?

PS. My apologies if a similar question has been already answered in threads and I missed it.

Btw did anyone use Unique Application Number to login ? I only used my email and password, not sure where to add the 16 digits UAN ?

same .. did not ask me for uan .. just email and password for ukvcas.. it had all my documents.

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking on the forums to get updates regarding the timelines for Naturalization applications without participating. Needless to say this forum has been really helpful. So to help others I will post my update as well.

Applied: 15 May 20

UKVCAS IDV APP: Received email 26th Aug 20 @ 20:13

App download and Login: Use the same login and password as the UKVCAS website. It says you need the UAN(16 digit unique access no-this can be found on the document checklist page) but you don't need this if you get the invite to download the APP. I was not asked for the UAN when I logged in the APP.

Documents: Already uploaded and submitted via the UKVCAS website. They were already present when I
logged in the app.

Photo : Took a photo of the front of the face keeping the eyes in the circles provided in the app.

Live Video: The app tells you to move your head up, then left and down.

Submit: Pressed the submit button.

Will post when I get more updates.

Anyone who has used the IDV App, can you please confirm if you can upload the travel document from your photos or you have to click the picture ??

Reason why, I am applying for Schengen visa so I won’t have both my passport and ilr which will be submitted to embassy.

You already have uploaded your passport on UKVCAS. I believe the IDV app would require to take a photo from the physical passport in hand (otherwise whats the point uploading the same again?) Just my opinion.

Answering my own question after using the App- yes you can upload photo from image gallery under Photograph your travel document section. This means you can either click the photo or upload it.
And obviously under the Take your picture section you have to take photo.
Anyway all submitted now so need to wait for decision!! Good luck everyone!!
P.S Application date for citizenship was 22nd of May and IDV App submission is on 27th of August.

Please can you share the email address of the approval email. I keep reading on this thread it goes to spam. Did it go to spam folder in your case?

Hi respected members.

Just to update that I applied for Naturalisation application on 6 August 2020 and received an email 6pm today from UKVCAS that I am eligible for new biometric reuse policy. And wait for further instruction by 14 sep 2020.

Please advice should I keep IDV app option or prefer book an appointment at center.

Furthermore I haven’t upload documents yet.
Wait for 2nd email or upload now. Please advice

Submitted/paid for application: 31 May 2020.
Received invitation to use IDV app: 27 Aug 2020 20:01

Now getting HTTP error: "504 Gateway Time-out" - I think too many users, the server is timing out as it can't handle it. They knew they were sending loads of emails out, they should've put more bandwidth in place for this.

it did not work for me as well. when i was trying it before getting an invitation. you will be receiving invitation soon and it will work then.

My wife applied 25 May. Received an invite on 27 August at 18:30 to use the IDV APP.

Will keep you updated and hopefully decision will arrive very soon.

I made the UK naturalisation application on 21 May 2020 and put on fingerprint re-use group. So far I did not receive IDV invite. I know few other users have not received the invitation so I am not the only one.

Have you checked you junk email?
Also, have you tried to log into the IDV App?

When did you register to UKVCAS?
Have you registered on the same day of your application?
