Spouse Visa - are photos and chat history mandatory?

Post by leatong » Thu Aug 27, 2020 7:07 pm

Hi gurus,

I married my British husband in Jan 2020, after dating for 4 years, with the last 2 years living in different countries. I submitted my spouse visa application on 1st Apr, transferring from Tier 4, and enrolled biometric through IDV app on 23rd Aug. While still waiting for the decision, I am a little worried because I just read on this forum that other members applying for spouse visa also submitted their photos, chat history, and travel history etc. I did not supply any of those, because they are not in the checklist downloaded from UKVI website when I submitted the application.

Should I be worried? When the case worker emailed me for documents in June (because they couldn't access the documents uploaded on UKVCAS then), he/she didn't ask for photos or chat history either, but just financial proofs, language proofs, and address proofs.

Was there anyone gotten rejection due to not supplying couple photos and chat history, or UKVI will email me asking for them if needed?

Much appreciated!

Stop worrying as these aren't required for in country applications.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
