UKVCAS IDV App Queries

Has anyone got experience using the new UKVCAS Identity Verification (IDV) App? My wife submitted an application for a spouse visa (I believe on the 17th of July) and we have yet to receive instructions to be able to log in. From their website, it would appear that it could be the 7th of September before we receive these instructions.

It would be useful to know if anyone has used the service so far.

Another query I had was whether I should collect new payslips and bank statements covering the month or so since we applied for the visa. I have these for the six months before the visa application date, so I would imagine by the normal wording of the regulations, this may be compliant.

Date of successfully submitting the application is the date of application, until which the documents will be mattered unless UKVI ask something additional at later.
