spouse visa extension with expired somali passport

hello guy,

my wife passport is expiring on November, as she is on spouse visa, her visa will expire on 2022.as there is no embassy in London to renewal her passport, i have to travel to France embassy to get her passport renewed which will take 2-3month to get her new passport,i got couple of question

1.)does my wife need a valid passport to enter France or does she need only her bio metric residence card?
2.)when i do the spouse visa extension, can i submit an expired passport or it has to be valid?

I had another two questions, if you could plz help me with them (1) if someone has spouse visa can they get travel document, when your passport is somali (expired)?
(2) if you have a spouse visa do you have EC rights?

No, she cannot travel using only her brp card. The card is only a visa and NOT a travel document. She needs a passport to travel across borders.

1. No, a travel document is for those who have been granted refugee status in the UK and not a for a spouse visa holder.

2. What exactly do you mean by "EC rights"??

Hi,

I am an EU National exercising treaty rights in the UK and live here with my wife and son. My wife is Somali by nationality and my wife is on spouse visa (2.5 years). In addition, her Somali passport expired and there is no Somali Embassy in the UK to. Somali embassy in London no longer exists, only somali embassy in Europe is in Brussels and won't issue passport as the embassy is closed due to the pandemic, the nearest embassy is in Paris which is opened, her somali passport will expire on the 04/11/2020 ( less than 2 months passport validity). What will be her status here if I fail to renew passport? How will that affect her spouse visa extension,

Existing valid visa will remain intact even on expiry of passport but for travelling or any renewal the passport will need to be valid.
