Regarding visitior visa (Evidence of accommodation)

Post by mansawant » Mon Sep 01, 2008 4:50 pm

Hi,

My father in law is applying for the visitor visa and I will be his sponsor. He came to UK earlier on visit visa. That time I was living in rental flat. So I submitted photocopies of my rental agreement of the flat to show his accommodation in UK. But now I bought house in the month of June 08. In this case what should I give as a evidence of his accommodation. I have taken mortgage from the Bank. What documents should I submit regarding his accommodation in UK.

Thanks & Regards,
Mansawant.

If you ask your bank who hold your title deeds for a copy of the extract from the land registry office showing that you are the owner of the property should suffice for the purpose you have requested it.

Attach a letter with it saying that you agree to accommadate your father in law during his stay in the UK. Write down how many people live in the house as well saying how many rooms it has. This will show that it is not overcrowded.

Send this along with your letter of employment, savings, sponsorship declarartion etc to support his application.

If he has been over before he will almost certainly get his visitor visa. If he is going to come regularly you may want to consider a 2 or 5 yrs multiple visa in the future
