On Friday 28th Aug I emailed the paid UKVI email service. They said a decision had been made on the EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit application. Does anyone know how long it takes from that point until you get contacted by VFS centre to collect the passport? Thanks.
Heyyy,
I am happy for you and it shouldnt be long now until you get your passport and stamp in it by God's grace.
whats your timeline ?
How did you contact the service. i tried using the paid service again 2 days ago and they asked for the following details

Full Name
Date of Birth
GWF number
IHS number
Passport number
Place of submission
Type of Visa applied for
Date of biometrics
Nationality
E-mail address used on application:

which i provided only for them to refer me to eu resolution center which i did and the eu resolution said they only attend to pre-settled and settled applications and referred me back to the ukvi inside-outside paid email service.

I guess i'm just unfortunate.

Hi 1878,

Did you get a notification from VFS yet? We are in the same situation! Decision was made when we first called on 24/08, but tracking status stuck between "Received by DMC" and "Transferred to VAC". What country did yoi apply from? Having to cancel flights now, and fly separately. Worried that we forgot to submit something or it was not a good quality scan or something.

Anyone else here had a similar delay in transfer?

Hi

Gnud3mn: I used this service here : https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... ge/English - it costs £5.48 for the first email and follow ups are free. I filled out the required info and they replied by 2 hours, very good service.

Molly42: Nope, I’m still waiting, hoping will receive something next week I guess. I asked enquire centre again when VFS will contact and they gave me same reply that a decision has been made.

Will keep you posted.

Dear All,

My mothers was refused EuSS Fp today based on the reason below

"Reasons for Refusal
On 27 August 2020 you made an application for an EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
Family Permit under Appendix EU (Family Permit) to the Immigration Rules on the basis
you are a 'family member of a relevant EEA citizen'.
I have considered whether you meet the validity, eligibility and suitability requirements
for an EUSS Family Permit, which are set out in Appendix EU (Family Permit) to the
Immigration Rules (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... eu-family-
permit). You can also find out more about the requirements in the guidance on GOV.UK
(https://www.gov.uk/family-permit/eu-set ... ily-permit).
You have stated that the family relationship of the EEA citizen sponsor to yourself is
dependant parent in law. As evidence of this relationship you have provided a birth
certificate for AAA, and a marriage certificate for AAAA and your sponsor. It is noted that the birth certificate was registered
23 years after the date of birth.
As you have only provided a birth certificate in isolation and no evidence from the
competent authorities in Nigeria to confirm that late registration of birth is acceptable or
what evidence of birth was provided to those authorities as part of that late registration, I
am not satisfied that you have provided the ‘required evidence of relationship’ to show
you are a ‘family member’ of a ‘relevant EEA citizen’.
On that basis you have failed to meet the eligibility requirements of Appendix EU
(Family Permit) and your application is therefore refused."

My first issued birth certificate got lost long time ago and another one was registered in 2010 as I needed it for university registration. I was originally born in 1987.

I need the help of the gurus here on what I can do to convince the ECO.

Many thanks

You can fix it with the DNA reports.
They are expensive but would cover the issue the raised.

@Abimfol,
Did your mother receive an email to advise a decision has been made and to pick up her passport and then found out about the refusal or did she receive the refusal email straight away before picking up her passport?.
Just checking whether there is a trend that they only send notification that a decision has been made when its positive outcome but send the refusal email straight away without any notification.

Did your mother do her biometrics on 27th Aug or that was when she submitted the online application? the timescale is pretty good considering Covid delays.

From their GOV website and application acknowledgemt notifications, it's says 15 working days but currently not sure considering the delays due to covid. I think it also depends on the country application is made. Decisions from some countries are coming in quicker than others.

Please could anyone help me what documents my parents need to submit and I am concern about one matter here is the dependency . Do I really need to show any kind of dependency prove to apply ? If I showed our bank statement and pay slip , will it be enough? Please anyone who have been through this please help me with information. That would be great. Thanks

Hello, my mom just got her visa. I am non EU married to EU. Documents which we provide.
From husband: scanned copy of passport, bank statement, payslips, employment letter, tenancy agreement, driving license, consil tax letter, marriage certificate, pre settled status confirmation letter, cover letter
From me: scanned copy of passport, resident card, birth certificate
From mom passport and her wedding certificate.
We didn't provide any money transfer because for parents you don't need to do it.
But when you complete application you need to say that she dependent from you husband (just say not to provide) and you need to apply not for family permit, need for EU settled scheme family permit its more easily.

Thanks for sharing such a valuable information.
I assume she got 6 months EUSS permit .
Does she need to enter into UK before 31 December 2020 and apply for residence card or can she enter later than 31 December 2020.
Does she need to apply for Biometric card under the EEA OR EUSS OR ANY OTHER DOMESTIC PROVISIONS.
Please shed some light on this.
Thanks

On gov.com writing that "close family members" can join their families till June 2021, but I am still worry about this and I think my mom will come this year. She will apply for pre settled status under Eu settled schume to receive a resident card for 5 years.

Update. Since we had not heard anything from the VFS centre I told my parents in law to drop by to collect their passports. Surprise, surprise they collected their passports with their EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit stickers that had been issued on 17th August, one month ago and no one had notified us. Remarkable. I'll post a separate thread with what docs we provided, we only did the bare minimum. Thanks for your help and update.
