Spouse visa extending need advise

Post by diljayakody1805 » Wed Sep 09, 2020 11:26 pm

My wife visa renewal coming in November .I am earning £20,000 per year. We have a baby. I am British citizen does the baby counted for financial requirement of the visa renewal for my wife. My baby have a British passport as well. Do I need to show £23,000 per year because of the baby.

My wife is working as well. She was in maternity leave since January 2020. She has started working back again from 1st of September 2020.So we are thinking of combine our income to show.
My wife was on maternity leave for 8 months. Do I have to show her income 6 months prior to her maternity leave?. Do I need to include maternity payment slips and maternity certificate as well.

Any advise on this matter very appreciative. Thank you.

There is no extra financial burden for a British or settled child.

Wife requires at least A2 Knowledge of English language, etc.

Isn’t your income sufficient?

Going by your first post, you alone meets the requirement with the amount you stated as income. You can rely on this alone. Bringing in your wife's income leads to more paperwork which can confuse caseworker. Summary is to keep the application straight forward, keep to your income so far it meets the requirement.

No.

For an extension, you will need two years evidence of cohabitation documents in both your names, from 3 to 6 different sources, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.

Answer it to the best of your knowledge. There is no right or wrong answer as such.

The answer will be different for different applicants, depending on their circumstance.

Thank you very much for the reply. also the reason I am combining my wife income, my bank account always goes overdraft because of the baby things to buy. Will that make a negative effect eventhough my income is £20000 per annum.I understand its above the threshold.

Your overdraft is irrelevant. UKVI is ONLy concerned about your income.

Tenancy agreement for Spouse visa extension

Post by diljayakody1805 » Sat Oct 17, 2020 10:15 am

Firstly we were living in house. We have a letter from landlord confirming the accomodation for my wife only. That letter was for differernt purpose. It is a year old letter. Now we are living in a flat which we have tenancy agreement. We do have letters to confirm the old address such as NHS letters and bank statement.

Do we need a tenancy agreement for the old address.

If you could advice about this highly appreciated. Thank you

No. Your cohabitation evidences addressed on old address aren't needed to corroborate with the inclusion/attachment of old tenancy agreement unless you voluntarily wish to do so.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I do not think you need it. Take the correspondence from the old address, then get the new TA and other correspondence at the new address to meet up thr the 2years cohabitation requirement.

We have a baby. On the part of the application asking to provide "Evidence of where XXXXX other parent lives-such as utility bills". Do we have to provide utility bills from her birth or latest bill. We both look after our baby in our flat.We stated on the application that we both look after the baby and nobody else.

We already have letters of correspondence address to me and my wife covering the last 2 years.I dont understand why this is coming up.
