FLR M EXTENSION

Post by ghostivv » Sun Sep 20, 2020 10:09 am

Hi all, I've used the knowledge from here in the past and now helping a friend.

He's a BC and wife's visa "leave to Entry" is expiring next month. He's going for extension as his partner need more time to go through english lessons. We've already started online application but there are few questions which I'm not sure of.

1) They've 3 children all have British passport but the application still need full details of the children despite not applying including past resident country together with dates etc. Is this absolutely necessary?
2) On children section, also questions like how are you responsible for children. Obviously a mother has many responsibilities looking after her kids but what should be the actual sentences to put in here.
3) There are questions like why and how will affect if visa is rejected. Again we're lost for words on how to put together detailing the effect the rejection will have.
4) My friend was self employed but stopped working last year Oct. He got new job on March but within 2 weeks the business was shut due to coronavirus. At the moment he has been in current employment for 3 months. His wife's employment is not affected but short of threshold. Is it possible to combine their salary to meet financial requirement? They do have savings on their individual bank accounts which will be also provided.
5) Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country? Pls explain fully and what kind of evidence to provide?
6)Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your current partner (including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)? again not sure.
7) Have you met your partner? if yes which I guess it is need date of first meeting and other things. :x

Sorry as sounding idiot but some of the questions don't make any sense.

I would like to edit the title and content of my post. Can't find any editing button or tools. Admin are welcome to delete this thread as willing to start new one.

In short made mistake on form but it's already been submitted and fees paid. The mistake was on financial part.

Thanks.

Hello,

To be honest all those questions make sense and UKVI would just wants to know about your circumstances when you apply for visa or Ext like Q5 - It will have an impact on our lives, kids go to school, my wife's parents been here for over 50 years, wife was born here she have no connection to my country etc etc when you read those questions you will definitely be able to find the answers.

Good luck !!

Ok got letter typed. We only put UK home office, Visa department and Dear sir/Madam with subject.

Now need to sort out financial req. One thing I'm still confused with is the cash savings.
1) The savings were made gradually so at the start of 6 months ie (April) was £20000. The current saving is £30000. Can we use last and current figure of £30000 at the time of application to calculate?
2) Both has savings on thier individual accounts and not in joint account. One with £30000 and other with £15000. Can we combine ie 30+15 = £45000? or it'll need to be calculated separately which means can't use £15000.

Thanks.

1. Just give the closing balance but the lowest balance during the last 6 months will be considered.

2. Yes can be combined provided both held for at least 6 months.

There is no fixed template but it should be written succinctly whilst abstaining verbosity.
