TLS Appointment

TLS Appointment

Hi

We followed the procedure for Option 1 - Self Service and booked a self-service appointment for next week at the VAC in Johannesburg. We have uploaded all of our 46 supporting PDF documents and it says that they have been accepted . The Visa fee and IHS fee were all accepted and paid for.

When we go back in to the online application it comes up with a statement

Any previously booked appointments are no longer valid due to a change in how we collect documents and biometrics. You must now make arrangements with our commercial partner to provide your documents and biometrics.

the TLS partner in Johannesburg does not answer their phones and does not reply to emails so I don't really know if we have an appointment next week or not

Are they not allowing SELF-UPLOAD of documents any more ???? i.e what is the change in how we collect documents all about

You must download your supporting documents checklist and print it for when you provide your biometrics. This document will only be available to download until 22 May 2021.
Get a tuberculosis test, if required
Check requirement
You must check if you need to be tested for tuberculosis (TB). If your test shows that you do not have TB, you will be given a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Include this certificate with your UK visa application.
Make arrangements to provide your documents and biometrics
Provide documents and biometrics
You must make arrangements to provide your documents and biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph) with our commercial partner.

Optional actions
Download a copy of your application form
You can download a copy of your application form for your records. This document will only be available to download until 22 May 2021.
Cancel your application and get a refund
Your application details cannot be changed. If you need to change any of your information, you will need to cancel your application and submit a new one. You can get a refund if you cancel before you have provided your biometrics.

Hi

When i did the application on the gov.uk site it directed me to TLS site in Johannesburg and allowed me to book a standard appointment and upload documents

It was subsequent to that that I got the message on the Gov.UK site as follows

Any previously booked appointments are no longer valid due to a change in how we collect documents and biometrics. You must now make arrangements with our commercial partner to provide your documents and biometrics.

I think that everything is still OK as I have successfully, uploaded viewed and submitted all the documents for the application and it still says that i have an appointment at VAC for this week

The change in how we collect documents and biometrics seems to refer the the UKVCAS app IDV which can only be used INSIDE the UK

I used the link to upload documents which probably used the old E-Dossier/E-Solo app to upload documents
so it looks like I am still on track

Apparently should be alright since you have got appointment.
