Entry Clearance - Filing Guidelines

Hi All,
I have applied for HSMP on 27-03-2008 from India and got it approved on 08-08-2008. I have got following questions to apply for EC,

1. Should I file visa for HSMP or Tier -1 (general)?
2. Processing fee & duration?
3. Documents required or checklist for applying and appearing for visa interview
4. Passport photo format (standard UK visa size 5 x 5 or ordinary photo sizes) ?
5. How many trials one can apply for EC in 6 months period if once it fails?
6. Fund maintenance exchange rate (will this be calculated depends on daily basis or rate on the day applying for )?

Would appreciate your replies and any other suggestions

Before posting on this forum, read the instructions posted on your local British High Commission website regarding visa applications. You will find that most if not all of the questions you have posted are answered there.

1. Read Transitional arrangements for those with HSMP approval letter
2. Check VFS India website
3. Read Tier 1 policy guidance
4. Photo specs. must be given in the application form / guidance.
5. As many times as you want to or can (foot the bill).
6. Exchange rate on the day the bank statement is issued.
