Irish Citizenship Application

Post by dejancoo » Sun Oct 04, 2020 1:40 pm

Please if I'm not intruding into the conversation, I have few questions that you probably know to answer, 1. What documents do need to be certified by a solicitor? and 2. I'm planning to submit application for me and 2 children ( one minor and other 18y old) and I have all the paperwork almost ready to print out and I'm wondering how will I pack all the bills and statements along paperwork from schools as there is no envelope big enough to put all of it together 🙂! So what is common I ask , to put all the paperwork into a carton box and mail all of it together or there is another way to do the mailing, funny enough I know but it's a buzz in my mind and I need suggestions please.

I don’t know about children but in essence all ‘certificates’ will need to be certified, because they cannot retain the original copy there.

E.g. marriage cert, birth cert for the applicant, birth cert for the ‘sponsor’ if your application is based on marriage or Irish associations.

You can open the relevant citizenship form and do a Ctrl+F for ‘certified’.

You must separate every single person’s applications - the adult and child applications are sent to different departments.

Envelopes are just the usual padded A2/3 envelopes. I can’t see why you couldn’t put them in. You can put each application into a separate envelope. I don’t know if you can put all envelopes into a big carton box though. I think I have seen people done it here, but I don’t know if it is a good idea.

Thanks for the reply, now I have another question if you don't mind, if sending the applications for the kids individually does that mean that I will need proofs of address for them also like bills print outs and so on (I mean they will be the same proofs as for my self just print out 3 times), or just what they have on their names from schools and similar? Sending the applications individually solves the problem of boxing all papers and mailing them together by the way, thanks.
