Birth Certificate Translation & Authentication for Naturalisation

Quick question here.
For Irish naturalisation purposes, does your birth certificate need to be professionally translated and authenticated by certified translators and lawyers in Ireland?

Or can this be completed by professional translators and lawyers in the country where the birth certificate is issued? For my case, it would be South Korea.

That’s not entirely accurate. The translation just needs to be done by a professional translation company who has the authority to notarise a document in their own country.

For example, most Chinese people will have obtained a notarise translation of birth certificate in China. There is no need to have it translated here, but the solicitor will need to notarise it again when witnessing the application.
