Tier2 General Sponsorship

Post by NishaGowda » Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:22 am

I am on dependent visa until mid of 2021. My Spouse projects is completed he has to go back to home country(cos will be cancelled). I am working in Uk and my company is ready to sponsor Tier2 general visa, they have applied for sponsorship license. Will I get eligibility to stay back in Uk until I make visa application since my company applied for license to sponsorship?

You will have to apply for Tier 2 General from your home country, if you get a restricted CoS approved by UKVI at their monthly meeting once your sponsor is successful in getting a sponsor license.

You have also already been advised about your dependent status in your other recent topic.

Thanks for the response.

My question is
Can I stay back in Uk until I make visa application from home country since my company applied for license to sponsorship?

Restricted COS or Unrestricted COS

Post by NishaGowda » Thu Oct 08, 2020 11:34 pm

Hi,

I am working in UK on a dependent Visa of my Spouse(Tier2 general ICT). Now my Company is ready to sponsor visa for me, my Job role is Front End developer which falls under Shortage of occupancy list with SOC code 2137.

1. Should my company apply for Restricted COS or Unrestricted COS?
2. How long does it takes to get Restricted COS or Unrestricted COS?
3. What is the visa sub category my company should apply for? eg.
Unrestricted sub categories
Tier 2 (General - switching immigration category)
 Tier 2 (General - Tier 4 graduate switching to Tier 2)
 Tier 2 (General - changes of employment - ISC liable)
 Tier 2 (General - changes of employment - ISC exempt)
 Tier 2 (General - extensions - ISC liable)
 Tier 2 (General - extensions - ISC exempt)
 Tier 2 (General - new hires - high earners - ISC liable)
 Tier 2 (General - new hires - high earners - ISC exempt)
 Tier 2 (General - high value inward investment - ISC liable)
 Tier 2 (General - high value inward investment - ISC exempt)

Restricted sub categories
Tier 2 General (New hires - restricted)
Tier 2 General (Tier 4 dependant switching to Tier 2)

1. Restricted CoS.

2. It goes for approval to the monthly allocation meeting which takes place on the 11th of each month. It can take a few weeks for the sponsor to get approval.

3. New hires restricted. This really is your sponsors duty and responsibility, not yours.
