UK tier2 dependent visa with post marriage certificate date

Hello everyone,

I have applied for my fiance's dependent visa on 11th Oct 2020, paid all the charges and the application form was successfully submitted. We have not booked the VFS appointment yet and not even submitted any documents yet. I have couple of questions
1. We haven't registered the marriage yet. We will be doing that on 23rd November. In the application form i have stated the relationship status as married for both of us assuming the VFS appointment will be after 23rd November. Will this be any issue as the Date of Application on the form is 11th Oct and the date on marriage certificate will be 23rd November?
2. Does the Maintenance letter issued by the employer has any expiry date?

Please help me out as i am getting worried that this might lead to rejection of visa.

So you basically lied on the form as you are not married. It will be obvious that the date if marriage is after the date if application, which is the date you submit and pay online and not the biometric appointment date.

There is clear grounds of deception on your application. Proceeding with it as it is could do you more damage than you can imagine.

Will this cancellation have any impact on the new application which I make?
Do I have to provide any justification for what reasons I had to cancel the application?

i dont think if you cancel youll be in trouble. thats the safest to do now. you might need to wait for IHS and application fee refund. Apart from that cancelling your application will not have any impact. Thats what I think.

Having said that. When you say registered your marriage. DO you mean you have not married or Is it just you have not registered your marriage? I know registration can happen months later after marriage in INDIA. So not clear if you meant only registration that has not been done. On the date of application if you are married then I do not see issue here. If you have submitted before marriage date then cancel it.
