Visa renewal IHS mistake

Post by Antone » Sun Oct 11, 2020 2:48 pm

Hello all,

This is a strange situation and I don`t what to do/or if I even need to do anything so I really need an advice.

I did a mistake with my wife`s visa application, after creating an application for my wife and went all the way to IHS payment page I wrote the wrong year (2020 instead of 2021) and then pressed next and paid the visa application fees only then to realize that I didn`t pay the IHS at all.

I hoped that this will not affect the visa decision and I will be contacted by home office to pay the IHS so I waited, today she received her passport and the visa was successful (which is great news).

The question is, does that mean she will not have IHS coverage (is that even possible) ?
should I contact anyone or pay somehow ? will they contact me ?

I`m so confused on the situation and don`t know what should I do (or even if I should do anything)

Looking forward to hear your thoughts !

Thank you so much,
Antone.

What is your occupation code. Is it IHS exempted like healthcare workers. I am not saying this is it. I am just thinking this way. WIth more details like Date of Application / Category / SOC and other relevant details other experienced moderators can guide you better.

I see our previous posts in 2019.
Did you get your IHS refund in 2019? You paid £1200 for 3 years? Was it refunded?

Thank you for your reply.
No I`m not exempted from IHS.

these are my wife`s info
-Date of application: 30 July 2020
-Type of visa : PBS-Partner visa

and these are mine (not sure if they are helpful)
-Date of application : 29 July 2020
-Tier 2 (General)

I`m not sure where to find the occupation code, sorry for that but my job is from the shortage occupation list.

Thank you for asking :D yes I did get my refund after a couple of emails to them.

Best,
Antone.

If you have received refund and you are not IHS exempted then this could be a mistake from caseworker side.
I would in such a situation send a mail explaining this and ask for clarification. Just to be on safer side from my end.
