Post by Wasi123456 » Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:06 pm

HELLO Admin

i am sorry to post this question here, but i dont know where i should ask this question. i booked A1 english language test for my spouse in pakistan and i paid fee by my debit card from uk. today i received confirmation email for the test from british council.

it says if the payment for the test is made by debit or credit card, then the candidate needs to provide that card for the confirmation of payment. now as i made the payment by my card from uk, what should i do ?

That is a very startling dilemma but still should be manageable by speaking/emailing back to the centre, well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Not heard or read of such requirement when paying by card on here or elsewhere.

Most often the uk sponsor simply transfer the money to applicant to pay at centre. However, you can send the picture of your debit card along with a signed letter explaining the situation.

Hello evryone, this is the email reply i have gotten from british council pakistan, and my wife's test has completed today by following these instructions

Dear Enquirer,

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your online payment.

If the payment is made using your own Debit Card, you must bring the original card on the day of test. However, if the payment was made using a third-party Debit card, please note that you need to bring the Original Authorisation Form along with your original & valid ID Document (CNIC/Passport used at the time of registration) and its copy on the day of Test.

Moreover, the form for both Debit/Credit card is the same form. The Authorisation Form can be downloaded from: https://www.britishcouncil.pk/sites/def ... _form-.pdf

Furthermore, you are requested to bring the below mentioned documents as well in case a third-party card is used. As you have made the payment using a Debit Card, Billing Statement is not required in this scenario.

Copy of Front and Back of physical Credit/Debit card. Block out all but the last four digits of card. Copy of Front and Back of Photo ID. (CNIC/Passport of credit/debit cardholder).

I hope above information is beneficial to you. Should you like to receive more information, please do attach the earlier email correspondence to help us serve you better. Please feel free to contact us for further information.

To help us improve our Customer Services, we would really appreciate if you took a few minutes to fill in our quick Survey.

Thanks for this update. The most easiest solution over same or similar predicaments is by simply sending the funds to other partner. The same also saves the additional charges arises due to currency exchange too.
