Hi,

I have similar problem so back in year 2000 I made an affidavit and stated in this affidavit that all the certificates and documents wherein my name is wrongly spelt , belong to me only (specifying correct name). I explained this point in my application cover letter and provided original copy of the same affidavit.... if it is in many certificates then it is worth to get affidavit. In my case 2 marksheets from under-grad and 2 from graduation had spelling mistakes in surname as well as name... so I got affidavit made.

Others can share their experience on this.

Regards
