Integra's conversation with the employer ?

Post by tier1_king » Wed Sep 10, 2008 7:38 pm

Hi everyone,
I work for a major (Indian) software company in chennai. I am planning to apply for Tier 1 soon.
My HR might not co-opearate well with Integra for verification, if they know that i am for applying Tier1 visa.
There is a rule that employees should not apply for any work visa during employment.
My question is , will the Integra guys clearly state the purpose of their verification , that it is for Tier1 visa ?
If so , i will have to apply only during the resignation period. :-(
Can anyone please let me know how much information does the Integra guys disclose to the employer ? This info. is very crucial for my application .. !

Integra's conversation with the employer ?

Post by amitkddas » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:47 am

Hi,

I had applied on 4th Sept and Integra people did call up the HR and later got the line transferred to me for verification.

Answer to ur Q's:
1. Right at the begining of the conversation they clearly state that they are calling on behalf of BHC and its for verifying some details

2. Details asked:
a. Joining Date
b. Designation
c. Last drawn salary
d. CTC/Gross/NET
e. Confirmation that u are still employed

the same set of question will be asked to ur HR and later on u...this has to happen on ur direct office line.....
just ensure that each of the details specified on ur form (related to the above questions) are correct. Its best if you inform ur employer before hand. I had spoken to my HR and had given her direct number. Luckily HR here is HUMANE ... :)

All The Best

Incase if the verification is not made over the phone then the Integra ppl will send a mail to the HR and ask them to fill out certain details. Sometimes its very difficult to trace the HR in big companies. When they send a mail they will clearly mention that this is a Pre-Immigration checking.

I have told you what happened in my case. Sometimes you could be lucky enough to get a concession. You have to take the decision..you can give various reasons for the visa application like...

You can say your wife is going to uk on long term basis and you are choosing this visa type so that you can visit her whenever you want... if you are not married then tell them your parents are going to get settle...you can decide the best option.

Inform them in advance that you want to apply for VISITOR visa to visit cousin in UK.

This is the exact problem I faced when I had applied for my visa. As some one has mentioned here, I was thinking of letting the HR know by telling some crap like ... I am visiting UK and they may get a call for verification. But since it was a big organization, I was not sure which HR to ask. Also, some one had told me that they might contact the manager also, if HR is not available.

So I just decided to take a chance and applied with out informing the employer. luckily, everything went well. but its really your decision. worst case, your HR will come to know that u r trying for something like this. but even then, they shouldnt give false data to integra, rt?

Cheers
Vikram

Its best to keep things clear with everyone:

1. Contact number ur giving of ur HR should be a direct line (as far as posible). let the HR person know about it in advance. You know ur HR best so choose the right guy. And i dont suggest hiding anything from HR, coz they are supposed to give the right info, but if they dont u cant possibly sue them for it...not in India atleast....so why take a chance

2. Maintenance funds: Most bansk would not give any info over the fone (its illegal for them) unless there is some folish employee at the bank. Integra people would by know (with so much experience behind them) that they ned to walk into te branch with with ur authority letter to find out details. Remeber we sign one authorizing BHC to verify all info. So talk to ur branch manager, apprise him of the situation and let him know that all he needs to do is give the right details. It serves one better to find out who the right person is at a branch for verifying such info. usually all branches have one person alloctedfor this kind of work and with an authority letter the perosn is most likely going to cntact the branch manager for approval efore giving out ay details.

P.S.: i got the above info from an employee at citibank (i have my salary account with them). They know these things happen, people apply and are very professional in thier dealings. they dont give out numbers, but on the docs provided they see and say a YES or NO to all questions.

Regards,
Amit

hi all,
I spoke with my HR.
The HR responded to me in a better than i anticipated.. :?

He told me that he can issue me attested payslips ,but he won't confirm employee verification when Integra calls them. He says it is the company policy and they don't do it even for bank loans and other purposes .. He says that they don't do it even if the associate resings from the organisation.

Instead, he says he can issue a bonafide letter confirming all the details ..

Fingers crossed .. what shall i do ? any suggestions guys?

fyi : my company is one of the biggest service comapnies in India.
In this case , if i give other documents like offer letter and attested pay slips, will Integra be sufficiently happy about it or are they particular in speaking with the employer directly to pass my verification?
