Travel while Tier-2 (G) in review?

Post by Wonderberry » Thu Oct 29, 2020 8:08 am

We have given our biometrics early October and by looking in timelines thread - I anticipate long wait.

Can I travel out and then back into UK in the meantime? My BRP has expired, but I have received message from UKVI saying that my leave is extended while application is in review.

No you cannot travel. If you do, your pending application will be considered withdrawn and you lose the fee paid.

With no valid brp card, you won't be able to board a flight to return either or be able to enter the UK.

Your leave is extended by Section 3C of the immigration rules while a pending application is with ukvi, which means your last expired visa conditions continue if you made an in time application. Section 3C protection ends the minute you leave the UK.
