Dual submission ILR tier 2

Post by cine1986 » Thu Oct 29, 2020 6:11 pm

Hello all

I have submitted my application for ILR tier 2 route back in June 1st. I did this via a solicitor. I received the invitation to upload documents and picture through the app on September 6th (opted in). I am still waiting for the decision.

While reading the forum, I noted many have used dual submission which seems to have made things much quicker. When I contacted my solicitor, she said it is not possible to do this. Can someone here kindly help me explain how this works and point me toward some documentation about this so I can share it with my solicitor? She is adamant there isn't such thing as dual submission :-(

Thank you so much

Avoid 'double' submissions

If you have been invited to use the IDV app or have already submitted your application via the IDV app, please DO NOT BOOK an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point. Doing this means that your case may take longer as UKVI will have duplicate records and also prevents other people who are not eligible to use the IDV app from booking an appointment.

UKVI have assured us that booking a UKVCAS appointment rather than using the IDV app does not mean that your application will be processed more quickly.
