time to apply for FLR (HSMP) extension

Post by CITYWORKER » Sat Sep 13, 2008 2:56 am

Hi All,

I am into 1+3+1 catagory and my visa is expiring in couple of months. I am due to apply the extension as soon as possible and have following queries:

- Do I need to use FLR Tier 1( HSMP) form, I do earn more than 75 points but fall under JR.
- Do I need to fill a seperate form for my wife who came to UK on HSMP dependent visa? Or can include her name in FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) and send her passport along with mine with 1 application for both?
- I am the prime HSMP applicant do I need to include my wife's bank statement or her payslips
- I am showing last 12 months salary + last 12 months bank statements is this enough to show the evidence for economic activity
- I am showing £5K bank balance, is this sufficient to show proof that I can maintain and accomodate myself and my wife
- Do we need to provide a signed for return delivery envlope?
- Do we need to send marriage certificate?
- Do we need to send xerox copies of all originals along with orginals?
- In last can someone provide a sample cover letter to apply FLR (HSMP) under JR

Your help is much appreciated!

best answer is to check the guidelines. dependants should fill up a separate form

- Do I need to use FLR Tier 1( HSMP) form, I do earn more than 75 points but fall under JR. ** Yes as you mentioned you fall under the JR
- Do I need to fill a seperate form for my wife who came to UK on HSMP dependent visa? ** Only 1 application form needed ** Or can include her name in FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) and send her passport along with mine with 1 application for both? use one as mentioned along with her passport and I guess marriage certificate to prove your relationship.
- I am the prime HSMP applicant do I need to include my wife's bank statement or her payslips ** No need for her account details as it should your account details that will matter most for this application.**

- I am showing last 12 months salary + last 12 months bank statements is this enough to show the evidence for economic activity ** You may add your P60 as extra proof **
- I am showing £5K bank balance, is this sufficient to show proof that I can maintain and accomodate myself and my wife ** there is no hard fast limit on the amount. 5K should be reasonable cover so to speak. **

- Do we need to provide a signed for return delivery envlope? if you like to feel on the safe side yes...

- Do we need to send marriage certificate? as proof only

- Do we need to send xerox copies of all originals along with orginals? ** HO only accepts originals so try not to bother with the photocopies.**

- In last can someone provide a sample cover letter to apply FLR (HSMP) under JR **Just mention that you applying for extension under the JR decision promulgated on date xxx.**

Your help is much appreciated!

Please refrain from making duplcate posts.

If you qualify for extension under Tier 1 (75+English+maintenance), then it is up to you whether you wish to use the FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) form or the Tier 1 form. If the latter, dependents will need to fill a separate form for themselves, but you can send both (self+dependent) forms together in one envelope and this way you'll not have to pay the 395 quids for dependent application.
