Need advise: report false 498a FIR as "Migrant change of circumstances form - criminal convictions"

Post by SagarS21 » Mon Nov 16, 2020 5:57 pm

Hi,
I've been working in UK since last 2 years on Tier 2 General visa.
My younger brother's wife has filed 498a dowry related FIR in India at the start of this year and she has named everyone from our family.
Police have now filed the charge sheet (without any investigation, I might add) and case is yet to be tried in relevant court.

As per change of circumstance declaration to home office , do I need to report this as charges under criminal offence to UK home office under "Migrant change of circumstances form" ?
On change of circumstance form there is section - "17. Please provide details if the applicant has been charged in any country with a criminal offence for which they have not yet been tried in court:"

Appreciate any advice on this.

Thanks,
Sagar
