Not sure if contacting them will make any difference
Hi nihad,
We will never know until you try. Why don't you write something like this and send via email (change the wording if necessary)?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to get an update on my application submitted on 28th May 2020. The details of the application are below;
Name of Applicant:
Date of Birth:
UKVI Unique Reference Number:
Royal Mail Recorded Delivery reference number:
Postal Address:
Please note that I submitted my application on the date mentioned above and sent the documents using recorded delivery on XX/XX/2020, which were received by the Travel Document section on the XX/XX/2020. It has been a total of 176 days as of today (20/11/2020) since the submission of application.
I appreciate that there are staff shortages due to coronavirus. However, I am really anxious about my application, although, I do not have any compassionate reasons at this moment but I believe that the lapse of time passed justifies the need for an update.
I would really appreciate an update from your side and help with the processing of the application for Travel Document.
I look forward to your kind response and attention to this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Your Name
Your Postal Address
Your UKVI Unique Reference number
